Hello. My name is Seoul and I am needing a little bit of help regarding my nine year-old Chihuahua Luna. Thursday night she had an accident due to our new puppy stepping on her/landing on her after being excited from seeing his other owner come home after a long day of work. The way he landed on Luna ended up, making her have a broken femur and a fractured leg. Luna has never been hurt before in her nine years of living, so this is something very sudden and new to her and me as well.

We took her to the ER, which was a $487 visit due to medication’s and x-rays. We have been told by the vet that she will need surgery and the best route is looking like amputation unfortunately. We were begging them to see if they could save her leg, but her socket is worn out so even if they popped it in place it would just come right back out. I am devastated that I have to make this choice regarding Luna. What is even worse is that she has a heart murmur, which is already pretty elevated, so there is a risk that she may not even make it through the surgery. I do not believe in giving up on my dogs just because they are dogs. I am doing my best to get whatever money I can to fully fund her surgery that is happening this Monday on September 14. They want to get it done as soon as possible since she is in so much pain. She has been learning how to walk with only three legs and so far so good. I am not asking for large amounts for donations, I am not even expecting any help out of this because it is a potential risk that she may or may not make it through. I just want her to know that if it were me going through the same thing, I would hope the people around me would make the best decision for me. The surgery is looking to cost anywhere around $1800-$2220. This is a lot of money to try and get by Monday so it obviously will not be fulfilled, but whatever amount can be donated is greatly appreciated. Luna had a brother named Milo, who was the same age as her, but unfortunately passed away in May due to us having to put him down because he had congestive heart failure. It is really sad and heartbreaking to have these events happening so close to each other and I’m just trying to get through it as best as I can. Thank you to anyone who is able to help, but even if you cannot donate anything, words of wisdom and prayer definitely help as well. Thank you so much.
